This course will help you be prepared while you're still in a "good place" and will help you be confident and fully prepared to take that next step and apply effectively when that time comes!
How can I know you're qualified to teach this?
We're glad you asked! Since going beyond teaching, we've been trainers, educational consultants, instructional designers, taught at the university level, learning strategists, project managers, course creators, created successful companies, and more. In each of these roles, we've seen how educators' strengths play out and are needed. We've also seen how they can apply and land opportunities more successfully by using certain strategies and resources. Those best practices, strategies and resources are what we've included in these resources to help you find and land your next dream job! We're also smart enough to know not to do this on our own so be ready to learn from and connect with other excellent mentors through this as well.
When are the live calls?
Our live membership coaching calls and hiring hour sessions usually take place in the evenings, starting after 7:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM MT / 4:00 PM PT, based on mentor availability. We also offer Co-working Wednesdays, providing a group setting to help you stay focused and make progress.

I was a middle school teacher for 10 years. After having my son and returning to work after maternity leave, I really started to notice my burnout and the lack of work/life balance in education. A lot of advice that you see online says to try changing districts and roles to see if that helps. I started teaching in a new district and quickly realized that wouldn't help. I switched roles and districts again, but I was still struggling. I started applying to jobs outside of education, specifically project management, but I was only getting rejections. Using Teacher Transition's resume resources, I was able to pull out my skills and expertise in project management and really highlight them on my resume. I recently accepted a job in project management making more than I did teaching! The recruiter mentioned my resume specifically (I used my old resume when applying to jobs at the company, then updated it and applied for other jobs at the company) and said that more hiring managers were able to get a better feel for my skills after I updated it and it made me more marketable! My advice for teachers is to take time to re-do your resume to highlight more on the skills you've acquired while teaching (project management, instructional design, collaboration, committees) and less on what we've been conditioned to believe is a "good" resume addition (worked an after school club, coached a sport, etc). Take the leap and see where you land!

In the membership I got more individualized help and knowledge from other experts that Ali brought in to help us. Ali has a heart for helping teachers and is genuine with her advice and course lessons. I would highly recommend this program to anyone trying to break into the world of instructional design.
